The Royal Netherlands Meteorological Institute (KNMI) has issued a code yellow weather warning for Noord-Holland.
Severe localized thunderstorms, hail, and heavy wind gusts are expected to hit the province on Tuesday afternoon.

Initial clear skies and widespread sunshine across the region will rapidly deteriorate during the midday hours, according to NH weather forecaster Jan Visser.
Atmospheric changes will generate substantial cloud formations that will develop into active storm systems.
The heaviest showers are likely inland, with a greater chance of thunderstorms, hail, and wind gusts there, but these could also occur locally in Noord-Holland, Visser explained.
The arrival of the storm system brings a significant temperature drop to around 17 degrees Celsius, notably cooler than recent days.
Afternoon winds will increase to force 5 to 6.

Traffic and outdoor activities could face disruptions from the impending thunderstorms before the heaviest rainfall subsides later in the evening, according to the KNMI warning.
Unsettled Weather Continues Through the Week
Unsettled conditions will persist into Wednesday with heavy cloud cover and localized showers. Temperatures will remain stable around 17 degrees Celsius.
Visser stated that a low-pressure area moving across the country will maintain these identical weather patterns through Thursday and Friday.
Improvement is expected only over the weekend, he said.
Meteorological models indicate that Saturday will retain some cloud cover, but a clearing trend will bring increased sunshine and higher temperatures starting Sunday.
