Audi revealed the third-generation Q7 and its high-performance SQ7 variant on June 9, 2026, bringing upgraded powertrains and advanced digital lighting to the premium mid-size SUV segment.

The updated models aim to strengthen Audi's position against rivals such as the BMW X5 and Mercedes-Benz GLE-Class, ahead of the larger Q9 SUV launch.

Design and Interior

According to Audi CEO Gernot Döllner, the new Q7 combines a sporty, powerful design with a highly versatile interior, first-class materials, and a wide range of technologies.

The vehicle offers flexible seating for up to seven passengers, a large panoramic sunroof, and high-quality materials that underscore its premium status.

The interior features a curved OLED display that integrates instrumentation and infotainment, along with a dedicated passenger touchscreen.

Tech highlights include an emergency assistant that pulls the vehicle over if the driver becomes unresponsive, and advanced external lighting that can project turn signals onto the ground.

Powertrain Options

Powertrain choices vary by market. European buyers receive a 3.0-liter V6 turbodiesel with mild-hybrid assistance, producing either 245 or 299 horsepower.
