Overnight temperatures are expected to drop close to zero degrees Celsius in low-lying areas. This could cause significant damage to sensitive plants, trees, and crops.

Conditions Favorable for Widespread Frost

The agency noted that conditions became highly favorable for frost development across the entire province during the growing season.

Regional showers ended in the evening, allowing cloud cover to partially clear by morning.
