The Dallas Police Department is asking for the public's help to find a missing 9-year-old boy, Matthew Uwa.

He was last seen on Monday, June 1, 2026, around 5 p. m.

Authorities say the child disappeared from the 1100 block of Templecliff Drive. An initial police report mentioned the 100 block of the same street.

The department issued a critical missing notice on social media Monday evening. The case number is 078957-2026.

Description of the Missing Child

Matthew Uwa is 4 feet 9 inches tall and weighs about 90 pounds. He has brown eyes and black hair.

He has dreadlocks that are tied back.

He was last seen wearing black slides, green jogger pants, and a green button-up shirt with a palm tree pattern.

Anyone with information about Matthew Uwa's whereabouts should call 911 or (214) 671-4268 immediately.

The National Center for Missing and Exploited Children advises parents to report a missing child to law enforcement right away, providing the specific date, time, and last known location.
