Comedy Central has announced that Jon Stewart and Michael Kosta will share hosting duties on The Daily Show for the week of June 1, 2026, following the program's Memorial Day broadcast hiatus.
Stewart Returns for Monday Night
Stewart anchors the Monday night broadcast, marking his return to the desk to interview actor Jason Bateman.

Bateman is currently promoting his streaming projects, including the HBO series DTF St. Louis and the Netflix production Black Rabbit.
This appearance represents Bateman's first return to the late-night program since March 2014, which took place during Stewart's initial tenure as the primary host.
Bateman previously starred in and produced the 10-episode HBO miniseries The Outsider, an adaptation of the 2018 Stephen King novel that explores themes of grief and the supernatural following a tragic crime in a small Georgia town.
Kosta Hosts Tuesday Through Thursday
Senior correspondent Michael Kosta takes over the anchor desk from Tuesday through Thursday, marking his fourth hosting week this year.

Kosta previously hosted the program during the week of April 20.
The guest lineup for Kosta includes University of Rhode Island public health entomology professor Dr. Thomas Mather on Tuesday to discuss the upcoming tick season.
Actress Chase Infiniti will appear on Wednesday to promote the Hulu series The Testaments, followed by author Beth Stern on Thursday to promote her children's book Coco and Stephen, Together Forever.
June Schedule and Break
The Daily Show is scheduled to produce four consecutive weeks of new episodes throughout June 2026.
