Brabant saw a noticeable drop in temperature on Wednesday afternoon as northerly winds brought cooler air to the region, following a period of record-breaking heat.
The shift comes after the warmest May 26 ever recorded and a subsequent tropical night across the province.

According to Weerplaza meteorologist Jeroen Elferink-Ruijsch, Wednesday is likely the coolest day of the week, but for many, it may be the most pleasant.
Summer-Like Conditions
While previous days reached tropical thresholds, Wednesday offered a more summer-like range of 24 to 25 degrees Celsius.
Some cloud cover appeared earlier in the day but cleared by the afternoon, leaving bright sunshine across Brabant.

Elferink-Ruijsch attributed the milder air to a change in wind direction, which shifted to the north and brought less warm air into the area.
The temporary cooling will be short-lived. Temperatures are forecast to climb back to 26 or 27 degrees Celsius on Thursday, with abundant sunshine.
By Friday, the mercury is expected to reach 32 degrees Celsius again, according to the meteorologist.
