Flemish television presenter Martine Prenen has died at the age of 62 following a battle with pancreatic cancer, her family confirmed on Wednesday.
Prenen passed away on Tuesday, her family announced to broadcaster VRT. She had been fighting pancreatic cancer.

The presenter was best known for hosting the long-running Flemish showbiz program "De Rode Loper" until her contract with VRT ended in 2006.
Her family expressed deep grief and admiration for her resilience during her illness, noting that her passing came after a courageous fight.
"With intense sadness, but also filled with admiration for her unprecedented strength, we report that Martine Prenen unexpectedly passed away yesterday after a brave battle against pancreatic cancer," the family said in a statement.

Prenen first rose to prominence in 1997 as an announcer for the former TV1 network.
She later appeared on "Vlaanderen Vakantieland" and participated in the reality show "Expeditie Robinson."
