This risks the development of a Quasi-Linear Convective System (QLCS), a large line of severe thunderstorms.
The QLCS is expected to track between 4 p. m.
and 10 p. m.

Atmospheric relief will arrive by Friday as dew points drop, bringing clearer skies and cooler temperatures in the 70s and 80s into early next week.
