A mass shooting in Cleveland left 12 people dead and at least nine others wounded late Tuesday night.

According to Gauteng police, the suspects arrived in a white Toyota Quantum near a petrol station before entering the residential area.
The armed group used multiple entry points to access the community, opening fire on residents in various locations.
After the assault, the perpetrators fled together in the same vehicle.

Eight adult males and three adult females were declared dead at the scene. One additional male victim later died in hospital.
The nine surviving victims were rushed to multiple hospitals for treatment of gunshot wounds.
Police have intensified their deployment, mobilizing provincial and district detectives, crime intelligence units, and forensic experts to find the suspects.
