The Fargo Fire Department responded to a structure fire at 721 14th Street North on Saturday afternoon, June 6.

The blaze was caused by an overheated plugged-in electronic device that ignited on the front steps.

Emergency crews were dispatched to the residential scene at approximately 2:38 p. m.

after reports of the fire.

Firefighters found the exterior of the home actively burning from the steps up to the door and door frame.

First responders quickly suppressed the flames. The primary fire damage was confined to the exterior of the building.

The interior of the residence sustained minor smoke and water damage. Crews successfully stopped the fire before any structural damage reached the inside.

No Injuries Reported

All residents had safely evacuated the structure before the fire broke out. No human injuries were reported.

Firefighters rescued three dogs from inside the home without injury. Officials confirmed that no individuals were displaced because of the incident.

The Fargo Fire Department deployed four engines, one ladder truck, and one command vehicle to manage the situation.

The Fargo Police Department and Sanford Ambulance also provided on-scene assistance.
