Emergency crews dispatched multiple water tenders and aerial ladder platforms to prevent the flames from spreading toward the garden center, according to a spokesperson from the Kennemerland Safety Region.

Medical personnel evaluated several workers who successfully evacuated the burning facility, though officials confirmed no individuals required hospitalization or sustained injuries.

Authorities deployed a police helicopter to surveil the area, while officials issued a regional NL-Alert urging residents to stay clear of the spreading smoke and securely close their windows.

The blast reverberated into the neighboring village of Bennebroek, where attendees of a local festival witnessed the aftermath while the community event continued.

Several were checked by ambulance personnel, but no one needed to go to the hospital,” said a spokesperson from the fire department regarding the evacuated workers.

A witness attending the festival described the sudden sound of the blast to regional broadcaster NH: “It was really such a dull bang, as if a bouncy castle was leaking.”

Spectators at the event gathered to watch the rising smoke columns as emergency vehicles continued arriving at the scene.

“One fire truck after another comes by,” said another witness to NH.

The precise origin of the fire remains under investigation as emergency services continue operations at the site.
