About twenty demonstrators gathered outside the GelreDome in Arnhem on Saturday evening, June 6, 2026, to protest the concert of American rapper Ye.

The activists displayed warning banners near the stadium entrance due to the artist's history of antisemitic and pro-Nazi statements.

The Center for Information and Documentation Israel (CIDI) organized the demonstration in a specially designated area near the North entrance.

Multiple police vehicles, including mobile unit vans, monitored the scene as arriving concertgoers observed and photographed the red protest banners.

The activists displayed banners highlighting specific controversial remarks made by the artist. One banner detailed merchandise previously sold online by the rapper featuring a swastika emblem.

"Waarschuwing.

De artiest die je gaat bekijken verkocht in zijn webshop T-shirts met deze print" stated the banner displayed by CIDI.

Another banner focused directly on a previous public declaration made by the musician.

Activists stated that they believed the public needed to be aware of these statements before attending the performance.

"De artiest die je gaat bekijken, heeft eerder verklaard: 'I like Hitler'. Wij vonden dat je dit moest weten."

read the second banner.

Mayor's Invitation and Museum Refusal

Arnhem Mayor Ahmed Marcouch attended the venue and revealed he had extended an invitation for Ye to visit the National Holocaust Museum in Amsterdam and lay a wreath at the Names Monument on Sunday.

The museum, managed by the Jewish Cultural Quarter (JCK), has officially refused to facilitate such a visit.

"heeft een ongewenste impact op andere bezoekers en levert ook zorgen op over de integriteit van deze herinneringsplek" stated the organization JCK.

The controversy follows efforts by the Central Jewish Organization (CJO) to ban the rapper from the Netherlands through summary proceedings earlier this week.
