The 39-year-old "Transformers" star received a suspended six-month sentence for each count. He was also placed on active probation for two years.

Judge Simone Levine had previously ordered LaBeouf to undergo drug and alcohol testing.

A New Orleans Police Department report indicated he shouted slurs during the incident, making him a public threat.

Details of the Altercation

The physical altercation occurred at the start of Mardi Gras in the 1400 block of Royal Street.

Law enforcement officials stated that LaBeouf became increasingly aggressive at a local business.

Police were called to the scene at approximately 12:45 a. m.

on February 17, 2026. Two adult male victims reported being assaulted.

According to police reports, a staff member tried to remove LaBeouf from the establishment.

Once outside, the actor used closed fists to strike an adult male victim several times before temporarily leaving the area.

He was eventually let up in hopes that he would leave, but he reportedly struck the same victim again with closed fists to the upper body.

LaBeouf then assaulted another person who attempted to intervene, punching him in the nose.

Bystanders held the actor down until law enforcement arrived. Authorities transported LaBeouf to a local hospital for a medical assessment of unspecified injuries.

Following his arrest, LaBeouf secured his release the same day.

Witnesses later observed him partying on Bourbon Street and taking photographs with fans while holding his official release paperwork.

In a video interview posted to YouTube on February 28, LaBeouf addressed his behavior. "My behavior [was] bulls---.

I gotta deal with that," he said.

The actor noted he has not been sober for approximately nine months and accepts full responsibility for the altercation.

He expressed reluctance about traditional recovery programs, stating, "Does that mean I gotta go to rehab again? I'm just not into it."
