Federal prosecutors in Nevada dropped criminal charges on May 11, 2026, against an Israeli property manager previously linked to an unauthorized biological laboratory found inside a Las Vegas short-term rental home.

The US Attorney's Office moved to dismiss the federal firearms case against 55-year-old Ori Solomon without prejudice.

Government officials stated that the decision followed a detailed review of evidence and new details submitted by the defense team.

Background of the Investigation

The investigation began when the FBI and the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department raided an east Las Vegas home on Sugar Springs Drive on January 31, 2026.

Inside the unlicensed rental property, law enforcement personnel discovered medical diagnostic test kit components, refrigerators, vials, and more than 1,000 containers filled with unidentified substances.

The seized materials shared connections with a previous illicit laboratory operation discovered in Reedley, California.

A property owner associated with the Las Vegas location reportedly had ties to the California case, which involved federal prosecutions of individuals managing an unlicensed bio-lab.

Solomon, an Israeli national living in the United States on a non-immigrant visa, faced the federal charge because he was legally barred from possessing weapons.

Agents uncovered multiple firearms during a search of his personal residence, prompting a federal judge to initially restrict his travel and order the surrender of his passport.

Ongoing State Prosecution

Despite the federal dismissal, Solomon still faces local prosecution by Clark County authorities for felony improper disposal and hazardous waste discharge.

The property manager, who oversees roughly 37 short-term rental units, has no confirmed scientific background, and public health officials confirmed the seized substances posed no immediate threat to the community.

Solomon remains scheduled to appear in a local courtroom on June 4, 2026, to face the pending state-level hazardous waste charges.
