Regional weather experts expect total rainfall accumulations between two to three inches across most areas by Monday. Some isolated communities could experience over four inches of rain.
Although the threat of widespread flooding remains low, slow-moving downpours could cause localized flash flooding on dry ground with limited water absorption capabilities.
Atmospheric instability will cause temperature fluctuations throughout the region.
Grand Strand beaches will see maximum temperatures near 80 degrees, while inland areas in the Pee Dee and Midlands will hover in the mid-to-upper 80s.
High humidity levels will create muggy and steamy conditions between the scattered rounds of storms.

WeatheRate, an independent research firm tracking station forecasts across the country, verified one regional weather team for its performance in the Greenville-Spartanburg-Asheville-Anderson market.
"Our goal every day, in every forecast, is accuracy," said Blake Bridges, WYFF 4 President and General Manager.
Bridges noted that the station utilizes its own 24/7 live radar system to maintain its market leadership.
The independent tracking firm emphasized the unique challenges of projecting local atmospheric conditions due to regional geography.
"Everyone knows that forecasting the weather around here is difficult with the Upstate and mountains," said Bruce Fixman, WeatheRate President.
Fixman stated that Chief Meteorologist Chris Justus and his team achieved the highest accuracy rate in their designated market area.
