Paramount+ has decided not to renew lead actor Tom Hardy for the upcoming third season of the British crime drama Mobland, following significant behind-the-scenes conflicts during production of season two, according to Puck News.
The streaming platform exercised a contractual exit after repeated tensions between Hardy and the creative team, including producers Jez Butterworth and David Glasser.

Internal disputes reportedly included frequent script disagreements, late arrivals by Hardy, and unauthorized attempts to alter dialogue.
These issues caused substantial disruption among the crew and nearly led Butterworth to leave the project.

Show's Popularity and Future
Created by Ronan Bennett, Mobland launched in 2025 as the second most-watched title on Paramount+.
The series centers on a violent power struggle in London, featuring Pierce Brosnan, Helen Mirren, and Paddy Considine.

Representatives for Paramount+ and Hardy have declined to comment on how Hardy's character, Harry Da Souza, will be handled in season three.
