A trailer loaded with fireworks caught fire and exploded on Interstate 75 in Ooltewah, Tennessee, creating a massive display of rockets and halting traffic.

The incident drew a crowd of onlookers to a nearby overpass as sparks filled the air.

First responders quickly brought the situation under control, and authorities confirmed no one was injured.

The Tri-Community volunteer fire department released an official statement about the scale of the emergency.

“The trailer was full of fireworks, all of which became involved in the fire and exploded during the incident,” the department said.

Emergency officials later provided additional details via social media, warning the public about the immediate hazards faced by commuters.

“They were going off in different directions, endangering drivers,” the department added.

The exact destination of the vehicle and the initial cause of the fire remain unknown.

This highway disruption follows other unusual transit incidents in the United States, including a March accident where a truck spilled 40,000 pounds of extra-firm tofu near a small Missouri town, and a previous crash involving a truck carrying ribeye steaks that caught fire.
