Ford Motor Company has issued an urgent safety advisory for nearly 5,000 vehicles, telling owners to stop driving immediately due to a critical front suspension defect that could cause sudden loss of steering control.
The warning covers specific 2021-2026 Ford Bronco Sports and 2022-2026 Ford Mavericks.

Defect and Risks
Improper assembly of the front suspension ball joints is the cause.
According to Ford, the faulty components can lead to the control arm separating completely, creating an immediate steering hazard.
Owners are instructed to park the affected vehicles and arrange for repairs.

Remedy and Support
Ford is providing complimentary towing to authorized dealerships for inspection and repair. Mobile service technicians can also perform the fix at the owner's location.
If replacement parts are delayed, Ford will pre-approve up to 30 days of rental car reimbursement.
The company also has a reimbursement plan for owners who already paid for this specific repair.
