AMC has scheduled the premiere of The Walking Dead: Dead City Season 3 for July 26, 2026, as part of the franchise's summer lineup.
The network also confirmed that The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon Season 4 will be its last, debuting in the fall.

Dead City Season 3 Details
The upcoming season of Dead City will consist of eight weekly episodes running through mid-September.
The announcement ends months of uncertainty after AMC omitted the show from its late 2025 earnings preview.
Before the televised premiere, the first two episodes will screen at the 65th Monte-Carlo Television Festival in Monaco from June 12 to June 16, 2026.
Lead actors Lauren Cohan and Jeffrey Dean Morgan are scheduled to attend alongside the new showrunner.

The production undergoes a leadership transition, with veteran franchise writer Seth Hoffman taking over as showrunner from series creator Eli Jorné for the third season.

AMC confirmed at San Diego Comic-Con that the fourth season of The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon will conclude the series.
The final season will wrap up the European story arc for characters Daryl Dixon and Carol Peletier as they attempt to return to the United States.
Potential Crossover Teased
Chief Content Officer Scott Gimple hinted at a possible crossover series reuniting characters from various spinoffs, including Rick Grimes and Michonne from The Ones Who Live.
