The 85-place facility, managed by Nursery in a Yurt Ltd, opened in 2023 at the Avon Valley Adventure & Wildlife Park.

It scored highly in achievement, children’s welfare and wellbeing, curriculum and teaching, inclusion, and leadership and governance.

Ofsted used its updated five-point grading scale, ranking providers from exceptional to urgent improvement. The nursery earned the second-highest tier in major categories and met all safety requirements.

It was marked at the 'expected standard' for children’s behavior, attitudes, and routine establishment.

According to the regulatory report, young learners at the Keynsham-based facility consistently engage with their educational surroundings while building strong community bonds.

The Ofsted inspector noted: 'Children immerse themselves into learning, where they explore a wide range of activities, including bug hunts and walks, spotting the different animals.

Children remain purposefully engaged and motivated, displaying positive attitudes towards their learning.'

The regulatory body observed that staff effectively prioritize diverse learning needs and maintain open communication with local households to optimize early development strategies.

The report emphasized that early years educators demonstrate thorough knowledge of the targeted curriculum while tracking attendance trends to guarantee equal learning access.

The inspector said: 'This information helps to provide high-quality care from the start. Experienced staff know and understand the curriculum, including the intentions for individual children’s learning.

They know the children and their families well and are passionate about and dedicated to their roles and responsibilities.'

Internal workplace dynamics at the Keynsham location also received positive recognition.

The inspector concluded: 'Staff monitor and reflect on attendance to ensure that all children have full access to broad and balanced experiences across all areas of learning.'
