Ghanaian actress and media personality Beverly Afaglo has died, her husband Eugene Kwadwo Boadu Baah confirmed on Sunday, May 24, 2026.

She was born on May 28, 1983.

Baah, known as Choirmaster from the Hiplife group Praye, announced her passing in an emotional social media post.

The cause of death has not been made public.

Afaglo built a prolific film career spanning decades, with credits in movies such as Return of Beyonce, Crime to Christ, Girls Connection, Never Again, Turn Me On, The Game, Single Six, Equatorial Escape, and Secret Burden.

She also starred in The King's Bride, Total Exchange, PlayBoy, Big Girls Club, CEO, About to Wed, A Northern Affair, and Bachelors.

“My heart is shattered beyond words over the death of my beloved wife Beverly Afaglo,” wrote Baah, describing her as his central strength and source of happiness.

He noted the heartbreaking timing of her departure, which occurred just four days before her birthday.

“It would have been just like four more days to your birthday but I guess the Lord wanted to celebrate with you so He called you,” Baah wrote.

The grieving musician shared that every moment with her was a blessing and pledged to sustain the professional projects and personal dreams they had built together.

“You were my strength, my happiness, and the reason my life felt complete. Every moment with you was a blessing I will cherish forever,” he wrote.

He added, “I am hearing your voice right now cheering me up as always, my number one fan.

I promise to take care and continue everything we planned and started. Until my last breath, you will remain in my heart forever.

Sleep well my babe.”

Following the announcement, industry colleagues, fans, and members of the Ghanaian entertainment fraternity shared condolences on social media.

Praye Tietia, a fellow Praye member, revealed that Afaglo had been battling an illness for several weeks before her death.

He stated that the family would issue an official statement.
