The first season of Marshals ended on Sunday with a finale packed with revelations, danger, and emotional goodbyes.

The episode exposed the Weaver family as the real threat to Kayce, while multiple characters faced life-threatening situations.

An ambush on Thomas Rainwater, Mo, and Miles shifted the action to Kayce's cabin, where a shootout left one attacker dead at the hands of young Tate.

Meanwhile, law enforcement officers Cal and Belle tracked down a foreman named Jeb, only to be pinned down by gunfire.

Actor Logan Marshall-Green, who plays Cal, warned viewers about the danger his character and Belle face. "You should be worried," he told TVLine.

"They are not going to come out unscathed."

The near-death experience followed a moment of romantic tension.

After Belle revealed her financial struggles to her unsupportive husband, she told Cal they both deserve better partners.

The two nearly kissed but pulled back to focus on their police work.

Marshall-Green explained the show's slow-burn approach to their relationship. "When it comes to these two human beings, they're just looking for connection," he said.

"And they're not trying to make it messy at work." He praised showrunner Spencer Hudnut for making the characters earn trust and intimacy.

The finale also provided emotional resolution for Cal when his daughter, Maddie, called him her father for the first time.

Marshall-Green called it a breakthrough that fulfills Cal's reason for moving to Montana. "That's Cal's whole agenda right there," he said.

"He came to Montana so he could be closer to his daughter."

The team faced internal disruption when Andrea accepted a transfer to Washington, D. C.

Despite colleagues' pleas, she stuck to her decision, deeply upsetting Cal. Marshall-Green described his character's frustration bluntly: "Cal.

Is. P*ssed."

He elaborated on the professional loss, calling Andrea Cal's number one.

"When it comes to the team, Dre is the one who keeps them on their feet," he said.

"She's incredibly trustworthy, and she's truly one of the leaders of this team."
