Strategic Realignment
The Science Centre Board stated the closure reflects a long-term strategy to expand STEM education initiatives.
The shifting leisure market in Singapore has increased competition, pressuring older indoor-themed attractions to balance rising operational costs with educational goals.
Eight full-time employees affected by the shutdown will receive transition support. This includes internal redeployment opportunities within the organization.
Workers who choose to leave will receive career transition assistance and severance packages aligned with Ministry of Manpower guidelines.
