Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds are facing legal action from contractors who claim they are owed $2.1 million (AUD $2.94 million) for work on their custom eco-friendly estate in Lewisboro, New York.

Construction on the 110-acre property has reportedly halted after multiple liens were filed against the couple.

The largest claim, over $1.35 million (AUD $1.89 million), comes from FlowCon Inc., also known as Flower Construction, according to the Daily Mail.

That firm was contracted for waterproofing, masonry, framing, plumbing, and HVAC systems.

Additional subcontractors have filed claims for unpaid work on septic installation, structural tasks, trim installation, and drainage systems.

Realtor. com has reached out to the couple's spokesperson for comment.

Project Delays and Legal Troubles

Lively expressed enthusiasm for the project during a virtual town meeting in June 2022, recorded by the Katonah-Lewisboro Times.

"We have 110 acres and we don't have a house," she said, noting the property was intended as a primary residence for their four children.

The couple acquired six adjacent land parcels through an LLC starting in 2018, with the largest parcel costing $12 million (AUD $16.78 million).

"We've had this property for four years now, and I'm just desperate to get shovels in the ground and be living on this land and enjoying it," Lively said.

The construction dispute follows a recently settled defamation case between Lively and her former co-star Justin Baldoni, which concluded before a scheduled trial on May 18, 2026.

Court filings from May 8 revealed that Lively dismissed her remaining claims without financial compensation, despite initially alleging over $111 million in total losses.

Amid the legal battles, rumors have emerged about a potential family move to the United Kingdom, where Ryan Reynolds owns soccer club Wrexham.

An anonymous source told the Daily Mail that Reynolds' success with Wrexham has given him "a great affinity for the U.

K."

However, the family currently resides in an 8,892-square-foot countryside retreat in Pound Ridge, New York, and their children's schooling and friends are in the States.
