The ambitious cinematic project is being produced by Sony Pictures Entertainment.
According to production details, the full-year filming schedule was initially confirmed in January 2026, setting up a simultaneous theatrical release for all four films in April 2028.
The ensemble cast features Harris Dickinson as John Lennon, Barry Keoghan as Ringo Starr, and Joseph Quinn as George Harrison.
Additionally, Saoirse Ronan has been cast to portray Linda McCartney in the series.
Innovative Narrative Structure
The project utilizes an innovative format where each individual film examines the history of the Beatles from the specific vantage point of one band member.
This structure allows the narrative to explore competing perspectives on songwriting credits, internal band tensions, and their creative evolution.
The production has already begun transforming historic locations in Liverpool and surrounding regions into 1950s and 1960s streetscapes.

The BBC reported on March 4, 2026, that Mescal and Keoghan were spotted filming in Liverpool near period-appropriate set constructions at the Crosby Plaza Cinema.
The script covers the band's history up to and following their 1970 dissolution, including McCartney's dominance in post-1966 recording sessions.
The filmmakers obtained firsthand insights from the two surviving members, as Paul McCartney and Ringo Starr both engaged with the project.
During the January 2026 awards circuit, Mescal commented on the rigorous filming timeline and his dedication to the role.
"I hope nobody gets to see me until 2028 when I'm doing the Beatles thing," remarked Mescal.
The four films will collectively depict famous recording sessions at Abbey Road Studios alongside intimate character moments.
