Los Angeles authorities have arrested a 44-year-old man on suspicion of murder after veteran actor James Handy was found dead with multiple chest stab wounds in his Tarzana front yard.
The victim was discovered unconscious at his residence around 9:30 a. m.

on Wednesday, according to The Guardian.
Police identified the suspect as Michael Gledhill, the son of Handy's girlfriend. His bail has been set at $2 million.
According to an official police statement, an emergency dispatcher received a confession before authorities arrived at the scene.
"I am the son of man, I just killed the man of sin," said a 911 caller.
Law enforcement officials reported that Gledhill immediately surrendered to responding personnel at the Los Angeles property.
"The one they were looking for," said Gledhill.

Investigators confirmed the living arrangements of those involved at the Tarzana crime scene.
"The suspect resides at the location with his mother, who is the victim's girlfriend," the statement said.
Handy was born in New York City and built a lengthy career as a character actor.
He began his professional work in 1977 on the television series Ryan's Hope.
He later appeared in Law & Order, NCIS: Los Angeles, and Criminal Minds, as well as films such as Jumanji, Logan, and K-911.

His final cinematic appearance was in the 2022 film Top Gun: Maverick.
