Swedish packaging manufacturer Meadow has unveiled the MEADOW KAPSUL SleeveLock, a wall-mounted dispensing system for personal care products in hotels, spas, and other hospitality venues.

The zero-waste system was developed with international amenities suppliers and market research firm B12 Strategies, which gathered feedback from hotel managers and housekeeping departments.

Designed for Efficiency and Hygiene

Housekeeping staff can complete in-room replenishment in 22 seconds, optimizing room turnaround times and simplifying training across properties.

An adjustable fill-level indicator shows when a refill is needed, aiding operational auditing and multi-site rollouts.

The pump mechanism changes automatically during every refill cycle, eliminating finger contact to reduce cross-contamination risks.

The exterior surface requires only a simple wipe to clean, thanks to a seamless design that prevents water collection and reduces handling.

Compliance with upcoming European Union and United States regulations on single-use plastics drove the development of this alternative system.

Meadow partnered with Ball Corporation and DRT Holdings to scale production, aiming to replace billions of linear containers.

The lightweight unit reduces transport weight compared to traditional bulk containers and allows specialized branding, custom finishes, and labels for mid-tier to high-end hotels.

Pilot programs will start this year, ahead of a broader commercial launch scheduled for 2027.

Investment firm FILLSY backed the project with a total commitment of €4 million ($4.6 million), to be deployed through the end of 2027.

Meadow co-founder and CEO Victor Ljungberg said, “We created Meadow because we could see that sustainable packaging was failing, not because people did not care, but because the solutions asked too much of them.”

“The Meadow Kapsul SleeveLock applied this to the hospitality industry.

It is faster and simpler for housekeeping teams while costing operators no more than the systems they are currently using.
