The third season finale of the CBS series Tracker aired on Sunday, May 24, 2026, resolving a suspenseful plot involving a secret government research program.

Titled "The Best Ones," the episode depicts characters Colter and Russell Shaw infiltrating a clandestine testing facility to rescue captive test subjects.

The rescue mission follows a cliffhanger from the penultimate episode, where characters Danny Kellerman and Lola were held as part of the active Chrono Stasis program, a top-secret initiative previously tied to the Shaw brothers' father.

During the mission, Lola predicted the brothers' arrival while being coerced by a facility doctor. "They're coming for you.

Two men," she warned.

Russell Shaw escaped a security guard to join Colter and Danny Kellerman, who refused to leave without Lola.

The brothers temporarily moved Danny to a secure site managed by Dr. Serena Jukic and her partner Paul.

"If we're gonna shut this thing down and have a chance, we have to un-alive the head of the snake.

First, we gotta find the snake," Russell said.

Danny provided descriptions of a remote location called "The Quiet Place," where resistant test subjects were transferred. Investigator Randy pinpointed a facility leased by Dorix Logistics.

A hidden note from Lola to Danny read: "Thank you Danny. I wouldn't make it through this without you."

Antagonist Vickers found the note, executed a guard, and headed to the secondary location.

Colter intercepted Vickers, rescued Lola, and discovered Russell had been ambushed and wounded after being betrayed by his source, Felton.

Lola confirmed Vickers survived, then guided Colter to Russell, who had contacted associate Reenie to trace communications from a recovered phone.

"The less people know the better," Russell stressed.

The episode concluded with Colter and Lola treating Russell's injuries and preparing to defend against Vickers, who held Russell at gunpoint demanding Lola's location.
