The body of missing 22-year-old Northern Kentucky University student Murry Foust was discovered Sunday, May 24, 2026, at Newport Steel on 1 Steel Plant Road in Wilder, Kentucky.
An independently organized search party found Foust, who had been missing since late April.

Foust was last seen on Monday, April 27, in the Latonia neighborhood of Covington.
The Covington Police Department's Criminal Investigation Division and Evidence Collection Unit are examining the scene alongside the Wilder Police Department and the Campbell County Coroner's Office.
Authorities said the official cause and manner of death will be determined by the coroner's office, noting there is currently no indication of foul play.
University and Police Respond
University officials expressed deep sorrow and announced around-the-clock counseling resources for the campus community.
"We are heartbroken to learn of the death of our student, Murry (Alexis) Foust," said Corey Best, Chief Communications Officer of NKU.
The university extended thoughts to the family and friends while thanking law enforcement and community members involved in the search.

"Our thoughts are with their family, friends and all who knew them. This is a profound loss for our campus community," the university said in a statement.

The Covington Police Department offered condolences and requested privacy for the family.
"We extend our deepest condolences to the Foust family and their loved ones during this difficult time and ask that their privacy be respected as they grieve," the department said on social media.
The agency also thanked community members who shared information, assisted in search efforts, and supported the family throughout the investigation.
Police noted they hope the recovery provides some answers and closure for the family.

No additional details will be released until the coroner's investigation is finalized.
