Filmmaker Jordan Peele is evaluating a potential sequel to his 2017 social horror film Get Out, while also approving a spoof of the original in the upcoming comedy Scary Movie 6.
According to reports from Pasta Magazine and Polygon, Peele has engaged in recent discussions about a second installment.

This marks a shift from his usual focus on standalone original horror concepts.
The original Get Out earned $255 million globally against a $4.5 million budget. Its success helped establish Peele's formula of blending horror with social commentary.
Peele's Selective Approach
Peele has been selective about extending his film properties.
In 2022, he told People Magazine, “I will never say never to returning to the Get Out world.
But there’s certainly a lot to talk about left in that universe. It all depends on the story.”
Separately, Peele is drafting his fourth directorial project for Universal Pictures, after its original October 2026 release was removed from the studio calendar.

Meanwhile, the Wayans brothers have reunited for Scary Movie 6, which parodies recent horror hits including Get Out, M3GAN, and Sinners.
Marlon Wayans told Polygon that Peele was “excited about the possibility of us doing something.” Shawn Wayans added that Peele “understands comedy,” noting his background in the genre.
Marlon said, “He likes our work and he likes our comedy and he's a funny dude. Don't let the horror fool you.
He's a very funny man.”
The comedy sequel also marks the return of original franchise cast members Anna Faris and Regina Hall after a 13-year absence.

Scary Movie 6 is scheduled for release on June 5, 2026.
