Action star Jackie Chan will begin principal photography for "Armour of God IV: Ultimatum" on July 4, 2026, across Kazakhstan and Azerbaijan, marking his first film production in Central Asia.
The sequel is scheduled for a worldwide theatrical release in the second quarter of 2027.

The 72-year-old actor returns as the fortune-hunting character Asian Hawk.
The story revolves around an international race for a legendary ancient artifact called the Tumar, valued at over $20 million.
New Locations and Creative Vision
Kazakh filmmaker Robert Kun will direct the action-adventure movie for Salem Entertainment.
Production funding is supported by the Alem Fund, an initiative backed by the Astana International Financial Centre that assists media projects connected to Kazakhstan.
Filming locations include Aktau, the Mangystau Region, and Kaskelen. Chan expressed excitement about the new settings, which offer fresh visual possibilities for the decades-old franchise.
"I've found places in Kazakhstan and Azerbaijan that have never been used in action films before.

These locations will be integral to the story of Asian Hawk's latest adventure," Chan said.
The actor also highlighted the potential for future collaborations in the region. "This is my first project with Kazakh partners, but it will not be the last.
We will announce much more soon," he added.
Producers Esmond Ren and Igor Tsay are attached to the project alongside Salem Entertainment.
The production timeline allows approximately nine months for post-production work following the summer filming schedule.
The upcoming film is the fourth installment in a franchise that began with the original "Armour of God" in 1986.

Subsequent sequels include "Armour of God II: Operation Condor" in 1991 and "CZ12" (also known as "Chinese Zodiac") in 2012.
