Eight fire crews responded to a large industrial fire near Lostock Gralam, Northwich, on the evening of May 20, 2026.
The blaze involved five HGV trailers and erupted in a yard at approximately 9:15 p. m.

Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service deployed resources from multiple stations, including Northwich, Middlewich, Crewe, Holmes Chapel, Winsford, Lymm, Knutsford, and Powey Lane.
A specialized Command Unit and a water bowser were also used during the operation.
First responders used four sets of breathing apparatus, two main jets, and two hose reel jets to control the flames, which engulfed a trailer containing plastic materials.
Additional water supplies were secured when the water bowser arrived at 10:48 p. m.

The scale of the fire was captured through drone footage recorded by a local resident on Moss Lane.
Firefighters scaled down the emergency presence to three engines by 11:10 p. m.
