Daniel Leonard, the youngest son of boxing legend Sugar Ray Leonard, was arrested in West Los Angeles on Wednesday morning for allegedly violating a restraining order.
Police officers took Daniel into custody at approximately 5:29 a. m.

after responding to an emergency call from the property.
Los Angeles County court records show that Sugar Ray Leonard filed a request for a restraining order against his son on the same day as the arrest.
An LAPD spokesperson said the suspect was on the property in violation of the restraining order, prompting a 911 call from someone at the residence.
According to reports, security personnel at the home contacted authorities after Daniel allegedly tried to enter his father's house by turning exterior door handles.
Arriving officers found Daniel near the pool house and placed him under arrest.

The arrest comes despite recent public family appearances and supportive social media posts.
In November 2023, Sugar Ray Leonard posted a birthday message for his son, expressing pride and happiness.
Daniel's mother, Bernadette Robi, shared a Valentine's Day photo in February 2024 showing Sugar Ray Leonard and Daniel together on a beach, writing that they would get through this phase.
No public comments have been released by representatives or officials for either Sugar Ray Leonard or Daniel Leonard regarding the ongoing case.
