The 2026 Broadway revival of Arthur Miller's Death of a Salesman made history at the 79th annual Tony Awards, winning six trophies.

The ceremony took place at Radio City Music Hall.

This production at the Winter Garden Theatre became the most-awarded play revival ever. It surpassed the previous record of four wins held by four other revivals.

Major Awards and Design Wins

The revival earned Best Revival of a Play and Best Direction of a Play for Joe Mantello.

Laurie Metcalf won Best Featured Actress in a Play for her role as Linda Loman.

Three design awards also went to the production: Best Scenic Design, Best Lighting Design, and Best Sound Design.

This brings the total to six awards.

With this win, Death of a Salesman became the first play to secure four Best Revival Tonys. It previously won in 1984, 1999, and 2012.

Cast and Production Details

The current staging runs through August 9 at the Winter Garden Theatre.

Nathan Lane stars as Willy Loman, with Metcalf as Linda, Christopher Abbott as Biff, and Ben Ahlers as Happy.

This marks Metcalf's seventh nomination and third career Tony win.

In her acceptance speech, she thanked former classmates from college, including Gary Sinise, Moira Harris, Al Wilder, Jeff Perry, Terry Kinney, and John Malkovich.

The acclaimed drama originally premiered on Broadway in 1949 and won the Pulitzer Prize.

The revival is produced by Scott Rudin, Barry Diller, and Roy Furman, with movement direction by Sasha Milavic Davies.
