Organizers of the GRiZTRONICS GORGE music festival have announced full camping refunds following massive traffic delays at The Gorge Amphitheatre in Washington.

The decision was made on May 23, 2026, after some attendees waited between 7 and 15 hours to enter the venue during the Memorial Day weekend event.

Festival Entry Chaos and Response

The extreme entry delays began on Friday as bass music fans arrived for the two-night event featuring electronic artists GRiZ and Subtronics.

In response to widespread complaints, the artists took accountability on social media, clarifying that external logistics caused the gridlock.

Subtronics addressed fans on Instagram Stories, saying: "We hear you. All of the anger is totally valid, totally warranted, I agree.

We are working on this. We are so, so, so deeply sorry.

You don’t deserve to have to put up with insanity like that. Refunds are on their way for camping."

Festival management confirmed that coordination with local venue staff and the promotional company solidified the compensation package for affected campers.

The GRIZTRONICS GORGE team stated: "After working with The Gorge and Live Nation throughout the night and this morning, we can confirm that all camping purchasers will receive full refunds."

The venue administration noted that an unexpected surge of patrons arriving earlier than anticipated overwhelmed the security checkpoints.

Overnight adjustments were made to resolve the congestion.

"The Gorge is committed to providing an excellent camping experience, and we take safety and security seriously.

Given unusually high early arrivals, it took too long for campers to enter, and we understand the frustration this caused," said The Gorge Amphitheatre.

According to official statements, financial restitution will automatically revert to the original payment methods within five to seven business days.

Despite the initial logistical setbacks, the music event proceeded with its scheduled performances.

The Saturday and Sunday lineups featured individual sets from artists including Blossom, Effin, Boogie T, Of The Trees, Taiki Nulight, ALLEYCVT, LSDREAM, and Lumasi.
