New Addition to Dodge Lineup

The upcoming utility vehicle will join the existing Dodge Charger and Dodge Durango models to better align with buyer expectations of the brand identity.

Tim Kuniskis, Head of American Brands, SRT Performance, and North America Marketing, described the GLH as "a true entry-level vehicle, a gateway into the Brotherhood of Muscle.

The transition follows market challenges for the Hornet, which struggled to capture market share after its launch for the 2023 model year while facing multiple safety recalls and quality complaints.

Enthusiasts criticized the outgoing model for sharing an identical platform and mechanical composition with the Alfa Romeo Tonale despite its aggressive exterior styling adjustments.

Revival of a Historic Nameplate

The resurrected GLH moniker references the lightweight 1980s Dodge Omni GLH hatchback, a turbocharged front-wheel-drive vehicle developed alongside Carroll Shelby that weighed approximately 2,200 pounds.
