In a recent interview with Variety, Urban, who played Dr. Leonard "Bones" McCoy in the reboot series, stated, "I think the whole cast would love the opportunity to do another movie.

Memories of Working with Leonard Nimoy
Urban also recalled his experience working alongside the late Leonard Nimoy, who reprised his role as Spock in the 2009 reboot.
"To work with Leonard Nimoy and see him don the pointy ears, first time in 17 years, was a trip," Urban said.
He described the entire experience as "a wonderful experience to be a part of."
During a separate Q&A with Esquire, Urban revealed he initially hesitated to sign on for Star Trek Beyond due to scheduling conflicts and the lack of a finished script.

Director Justin Lin convinced him by pitching a storyline where his character, Bones, is stranded on an alien planet with Zachary Quinto's Spock.
"He told me the story and when he explained the situation of Bones and Spock being shot out of the turbolift into space and crash landing on a planet and being marooned together I was like 'In!
I am in in a big way!'" , Urban said.
Urban credited Lin and co-star Simon Pegg for helping develop McCoy's role further, addressing his earlier concerns at the STLV 2017 convention about limited character growth in Star Trek Into Darkness.
