Ella Bleu Travolta walked the Cannes red carpet alongside her father, John Travolta, to promote their upcoming Apple TV film, "Propeller: One-Way Night Coach."

The movie is scheduled to premiere on May 29.

John Travolta wrote, directed, and narrated the aviation-themed story about a young airplane enthusiast. This marks his directorial debut.

A Family Affair in Filmmaking

Ella, the only daughter of John Travolta and the late Kelly Preston, has built a career in acting and music since childhood.

She first appeared on screen in the 2009 Disney comedy "Old Dogs," which also featured both parents.

She later starred with her father in the 2019 film "The Poison Rose" before landing her first lead role in "Get Lost."

Her 2026 credits include "Alicia in Wonderland" and "Propeller: One-Way Night Coach."

Ella has often expressed her joy in working with her father. "I always jump at the opportunity to do something with my dad," she told People in 2023.

From Acting to Music

During the pandemic, John Travolta discovered Ella's songwriting and encouraged her to finish the tracks.

She released the singles "Dizzy" in 2022 and "Little Bird" in 2024, followed by her debut EP "Colors of Love," which her father co-produced.

Ella credited her father with guiding her through the music industry.

"He’s amazing and he’s so protective because he’s been in this industry forever," she said on the 3rd hour of TODAY.

Beyond film and music, Ella has ventured into fashion modeling.

She made her New York Fashion Week runway debut in 2022 and discussed her growing interest in fashion on the "Tea Time" podcast in 2025.

John Travolta has praised his daughter's independence and grace. "She is her own person.

She is gracious, generous, poised, graceful and gorgeous," he told People in 2019.

Ella's late mother, Kelly Preston, also celebrated her publicly. In a 2020 Instagram post, Preston wrote, "To the sweetest girl in the world.

You are magical in all that you do."

The Travolta family expanded after John and Kelly married in 1991. Their first son, Jett, was born in 1992, followed by Ella in 2000.

After Jett's tragic passing in 2009, the family welcomed son Benjamin in 2010.

Ella's lifelong exposure to the entertainment industry shaped her career aspirations.

"Pretty much as long as I can remember, I’ve always just loved the arts in general," she told Parade in 2023.
