Prince Edward and Duchess Sophie will travel between Lisbon and Porto, marking the first royal visit to Portugal since 2011.

It is also the couple's first joint trip there since May 2005.

The visit commemorates the 640th anniversary of the Treaty of Windsor, signed in 1386, which established the world's oldest active diplomatic alliance.

The itinerary includes meetings with students and community organizations, focusing on youth opportunities, sports inclusion, and Women, Peace, and Security initiatives.

The announcement comes amid public scrutiny over unvetted official appointments for Prince Andrew.

Documents released revealed a lack of formal vetting for his former role as the UK's trade envoy.

She stated, "Children must be safe by design, not safe by chance."

World Health Organization Director-General Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus introduced Markle alongside Amy Neville from The Parents’ Network. Markle emphasized that online dangers affect families globally across all socioeconomic boundaries.
