The hit CBS reality competition series Survivor will secure its long-term filming operations in the Mamanuca Islands, host and executive producer Jeff Probst announced at a Paramount event on Tuesday, May 19, 2026.
The production franchise chose to maintain its stable presence in the Pacific nation rather than moving to alternative global locations.

The decision addresses growing international logistical hurdles, including hotel development on previously empty islands, economic shifts, and political instability.
According to yahoo.
com, the show is concluding its 25th anniversary milestone season, titled Survivor: In The Hands of the Fans, with a live finale on Wednesday night.
Production for Season 52 is scheduled to begin within the next 10 days, while Season 51 will debut this fall.
Logistics Over Creativity
"The truth is, it's a logistic issue; it's not really a creative choice," Probst said.
The franchise previously deployed scouting teams far in advance to explore locations like Samoa, the Philippines, and Cambodia before finding a permanent base in Fiji.
Probst explained that the global awareness generated by the show transformed many former remote destinations into popular commercial tourism hubs.

"A lot of places, islands that were empty now have hotels on them because 'Survivor' brought a lot of awareness and tourism," Probst said.
Fiji has provided strong government cooperation and consistent infrastructure, which helps the crew navigate severe weather challenges.
The production has successfully managed past emergency situations while maintaining its filming schedules on the islands.
"So, Fiji has actually saved 'Survivor' and our relationship with their government is amazing.
All the land owners, where we stay, the islands we use … if that changed, we'd be back looking, desperately, for somewhere," Probst said.
The current finale features five remaining contestants competing for the title of Sole Survivor and a $2 million grand prize.
Viewers will also vote to award the $100,000 Sia Fan-Favorite prize to one of the 24 all-star castaways, as reported by fijitimes.
