Jeremy Clarkson's Diddly Squat farm near Chadlington in Oxfordshire is hosting Cereals 2026, one of the largest agricultural trade shows in the industry, on Wednesday and Thursday.

Thousands of farmers are expected to attend the annual event, which features crop plots, machinery demonstrations, expert seminars, and networking opportunities.

Organizers project that approximately 25,000 visitors will descend on the site, prompting extensive traffic management plans to mitigate major local disruption.

Clarkson Briefs Residents

Ahead of the gathering, the former Top Gear presenter briefed more than 60 local residents regarding the expected influx of vehicles and visitors in the rural community.

During the briefing, Clarkson reassured residents about the scale of the operation and the capability of the team managing the logistics.

He emphasized that the organizers possess extensive experience with such large-scale agricultural gatherings. "They know what they're doing," said Clarkson.

The television presenter further noted that the coordinators have successfully staged this annual exhibition across various rural communities nationwide for many years.

Addressing the broader context of the exhibition, Clarkson highlighted the economic hardships currently facing the farming sector.

He expressed his personal commitment to supporting the industry through his platform.

"This is an important event, not just for the agriculture sector nationally but for our local farming communities too," stated Clarkson.

He further commented on the difficult status of contemporary agriculture and his role within it. "Farming is an industry that is in deep trouble.

I have the honour of trying to put something back into this beleaguered world," added Clarkson.

Traffic Management Plans

To maintain order, a temporary 30mph speed limit and several one-way systems are being implemented on routes surrounding the thousand-acre farm.

Access through Chadlington will be restricted to local residents via staffed control points.

Free parking and dedicated regional buses are being utilized to prevent gridlock, according to event organizers.
