"One of the hallmarks of the franchise as we've done it," Bernstein said.

The team avoided reliance on digital environments by utilizing actual locations in England and the United Arab Emirates.

"We ground them in the reality of the location," Bernstein said.

Bernstein highlighted that local authorities allowed the crew to clear historic zones for high-speed stunts.

"That London car chase is all in London. We shut down a lot of that city to make it.

Something that had never been done before, because it's so complex," Bernstein said.

The director detailed how the production team mirrored these expansive location logistics during filming in the Middle East.

"Dubai, the same thing. We were in Dubai shooting that boat chase on the canals of that city," Bernstein said.

The creative team aimed to immerse the audience by avoiding artificial visual effects in favor of practical stunts.

"We go to those places and we try to take advantage of what they offer and drop the audience right into them.

It's movie magic — but not special effects magic," Bernstein said.

The filmmaker recalled the unique experience of capturing action choreography in front of real British landmarks.

"When we were doing that car chase, we shut down the square next to Big Ben and Westminster Abbey.

You're there. You're doing a massive car chase, Big Ben is looming over your shoulder," Bernstein said.

The scale of the project left a lasting impression on the directing staff during daily operations.

"And you pinch yourself: How lucky am I to be here!" Bernstein said.
