The policy shift allows Park Hopper ticket holders and Magic Key members to move between Disneyland Park and Disney California Adventure Park at any time during operating hours.

End of a Post-Pandemic Rule

The policy adjustment removes a long-standing constraint established when the Southern California theme parks reopened following COVID-19 pandemic closures.

Under the updated guidelines, visitors must still select a starting park for their reservation but are no longer required to physically scan into that first park before switching locations.

Journalist Scott Gustin shared the operational update on the social media platform X.

"NEW: Disneyland is eliminating the 11 a. m.

Park Hopper restriction starting June 9," Gustin stated.

"With this change, guests with Park Hopper tickets and Magic Key passes will be able to move between Disneyland and Disney California Adventure at any time, subject to park availability."

Gustin later clarified how the reservation system interfaces with the new policy for incoming visitors.

"This update means a guest with a Disney California Adventure reservation and a Park Hopper ticket could theoretically enter Disneyland first, subject to availability," Gustin stated.

Capacity Limits and Reservations Remain

Park access remains dependent on capacity limits at both theme parks, meaning guests could be turned away if a specific park reaches maximum attendance.
