The album, released on January 23 under Highway 20 Records, marks Williams' most politically charged work in decades.
She described the project as a direct response to the current political climate in the United States.
Tour Kicks Off in the Northeast
The tour begins in the northeastern United States with headline shows in Philadelphia, Boston, New Jersey, and other cities.
Williams will then move to the West Coast in June, where she will support Bob Dylan on several dates.
In late June and July, the tour continues through the Southwest and South, including co-billed performances with Bob Dylan in cities like Phoenix and Nashville.
The itinerary transitions from theaters to larger amphitheaters as the tour progresses.
Williams spoke about the inspiration behind the album in an interview with NPR. She explained that the songs emerged from a sense of urgency rather than commercial planning.
"Every day there was some crazy thing that the president said or made a decision about, and these songs just had to come out," Williams said.
Health Challenges and Stage Presence
Williams continues to perform despite ongoing rehabilitation from a stroke she suffered in 2020.

She relies on her tour manager for physical assistance on stage and uses the microphone stand for balance.
"I still struggle when I walk. My tour manager, Travis, has my arm as I walk on and walk off the stage.
Sometimes I hold on to the mic stand just to balance myself. I can sing.
I'm not playing guitar right now; that's going to have to come later," Williams said.
The artist's resilience has been evident throughout her recovery, and her live shows remain a priority.
She has adapted her performance style to accommodate her physical limitations while maintaining her vocal delivery.
International Leg Planned for Late Summer
Following the US portion of the tour, Williams will take the album overseas.
The international leg begins on August 27, 2026, at the Shrewsbury Folk Festival in the United Kingdom.

She will then perform standalone headline shows across Europe, including stops in Belgium, the Netherlands, Germany, and Norway.
The tour schedule incorporates both festival appearances and solo concerts.
"World's Gone Wrong" is Williams' 16th studio album and represents a return to the protest music that has occasionally surfaced throughout her career.
The album confronts modern American political issues directly, reflecting the artist's concerns about the direction of the country.
Williams has built a reputation over decades as a songwriter willing to tackle difficult subjects.
This tour continues that tradition while showcasing her ability to connect with audiences through emotionally charged material.
Fans can expect a mix of new songs from the protest album along with selections from her extensive catalog.
The tour promises to be a significant event for longtime followers and new listeners alike.
With more than 30 dates across the United States and additional shows in Europe, Williams is making a strong statement with this tour.
